No other region has as much to offer as Alpbach Valley: culture, events and festivals, sightseeing, sports and fun, relaxation and enjoyment await you. There is something for everyone.
A visit to the Museum of Tyrolean Farms or the Augustine Museum in Rattenberg, beer tasting with Jos Moser, the best Austrian Kaiserschmarren pancakes at Zotterhof, or a nature hike through the Kaiser or Tiefenbach Gorge. There’s so much adventure here.
Alpbach – a mountain village, an idyllic place that has received numerous awards and is known as “Austria’s Most Beautiful Village”. Since 1953, the Alpbach villagers build all new buildings in traditional Alpbach architectural style. Its villagescape is one of a kind in Europe, receiving the “White Oscar” from The Good Skiing and Snowboarding Guide for Europe's best small ski area of the year: Ski Juwel in Alpachtal Wildschönau.
Since 1945, the village has been host to an international conference. The European Forum Alpbach takes place here annually, welcoming leaders from politics, business, science and culture. As home to the new Congress Centrum Alpbach and its ingenious architecture, the village has placed a spotlight on important issues for the next century.
Water abounds in Alpbach like nowhere else. Thanks to its excellent water quality, Alpbach was named the first “Crystal Village of Austria” by the Seibersdorf Research Centre. Alpbach also received an award from the Austrian Institute for Health for the cleanest air in Austria.
In Alpbach, the desire for harmony, beauty, peace of mind and cultural identity lives on.
